Razz poker is a low pot split variation of stud games. In razz a total of mixed cards are dealt and the betting is non-positional in these games with the betting beginning based on the high or low rank of the face up card. The best low five hands win the pot. Straights and flushes do not count against the lows nor is an 8 or better mandatory for the winning.

Ace is the lowest in Razz poker the wheel which is A-2-3-4-5 can be the best possible one. The chances of winning are delineated for the possible lows in the increasing to decreasing order are as follows:-
A-2-3-4-5 > A-2-3-4-6 > 2-3-4-5-6 > A-5-6-7-9 > 3-5-6-7-9 > 5-6-7-8-9 > 7-T-J-Q-K > 9-T-J-Q-K > 8-9-T-A-A > 5-6-7-2-2 > 2-3-4-K-K > 5-5-3-3-3

The sequence of the flow of razz poker is as follows:-
• Predetermined ante by all players
• Dealing of 2 face down and 1 face up card (3 mixed cards)
• The player with a high value in the face up makes the bring-in; if there happens to be a tie suits are used to break the tie. (spade > heart > diamond > clubs)
• The players are supposed to make a small bet (x) or big bet (2x) bet in an x/2x game in the first round.
• Fourth street upward card where the low rank of the dealt street card is to make the bet disregarding any straights of flushes that would have been in the up cards.
• Fifth street upward card where the low rank of the dealt street card is to make the bet disregarding any straights of flushes that would have been in the up cards.
• Sixth street upward card where the low rank of the dealt street card is to make the bet disregarding any straights of flushes that would have been in the up cards.
• Show down follows where the low hand wins per the above guidelines in the order from the Wheel down …..> 5-5-3-3-3

If there happens to be two hands qualifying for the split the pot is shared between the two.

Razz poker is different from draw games. Street cards operate in draw, there is no replacement card in Razz nor or there any community cards. Razz poker is the famous of the lowball poker. These games are not complicated like the holdem, but are interesting than draw.
