Pot Limit Holdem

Posted in holdem by Patrick Bruel on the October 5, 2009

Pot limit holdem can be dangerous areas to bet aggressively unless you have monster hands. I never risk betting high unless I have a better pair of J, Q, or K in pot limit holdem games. When someone is going to call a raise in these games I figure that they are having a better hand than bluff. Bluffing calling a raise in these games requires real skill a little slip means a multifold loss of your stakes! (more…)

Differences In Playing Roulette Live Versus Online

Posted in gambling by Patrick Bruel on the October 5, 2009

There may be several notable differences while playing Roulette both online and in a terrestrial casino. The noteworthy differences are in terms of the chips, the wager used for gambling, and the level of precision in adopting to the conditions which are not always the same. There are some advantages and disadvantages for both the versions of the Roulette game which one will get to know only if one plays the game both ways. In a usual terrestrial casino game of roulette, the dealer will offer roulette chips which are distinct from that of the online casinos. (more…)

What Is Restealing and Restealing As A Short Stack

Posted in holdem by Patrick Bruel on the September 13, 2009

The play in No Limit Texas Hold Em tournaments has changed significantly over the last five years. With the number of players playing on the Internet and the wealth of poker training sites and learning resources, what and how people play is no longer a matter of just what cards you are holding. It has become much more than that and one of the concepts that has emerged into the forefront is restealing. Restealing, explained simply, is re-raising a player with a marginal hand when you believe that they are stealing themselves. (more…)

How to play Omaha High Low

How to play Omaha High Low ? With 4 pocket cards dealt and with the compulsion of having to use 2 of the hole cards in making the final hand makes Omaha High low a bit more challenging.

In Omaha High Low A-A, K-K, Q-Q, J-J, T-T, 9-9 pairs considering the 8 or better factor can be a better hand in any position of the table image. Suited cards like K-Q, K-J, K-T, Q-J, J-T, T-9 or A-(any suited card) of the same suit can also be a better place in any table image. Unsuited cards like A-K and A-Q are also better. These hands are a safe way to proceed regardless of your position in the table.

For all other combination of hands in Omaha high low you need to decide based on your table image and other odds like the nature of the opponents, the bet limit of the game etcetera. Avoid playing with trap cards as they can be useless most of the times than we believe. Sometimes unsuited cards seem to perform better than trap cards and such estimates come to you only with experience after playing 100s of tables.

Do not hesitate to fold in Omaha High Low if starting hands are bad. Lady luck never arrives late in these games; she sends you signals in the start!

In order to promote the e-books that their writers come up with, gaming websites don’t bother in making the enthusiasts gullible. After purchasing online they find the e-book to provide no additional information on the game. The knowledge that one could gain in playing the casino game online is composed and marketed as the ultimate guide for mastering the game. There ends all. Perhaps the best feature about the slots game online is the free signup mode where in one gets to while away one’s time and get exposed to the intricacies of the game. (more…)

Poker bluffing or Poker Bluff?

Posted in Learning poker by Patrick Bruel on the September 6, 2009

Poker bluffing is a deceptive technique that is used to mislead the other player about the real status of your hand. You can make your opponent believe what you want them to believe about your hand. Poker bluffing can help you conceal the real status of your hand. Despite you having a weak hand you can make your opponent fold, regardless of whether they have a strong hand or otherwise.

Poker Chips weigh money!

Posted in poker by Patrick Bruel on the July 19, 2009

I personally love poker chips that weigh like money! I do get a great feeling when I place those chips in the pot. I used to love the blue and black striped chips as compared to other colors. Anyways, the value of the money you win matters more than the chips you use, isn’t it?

Despite working several hours on the site, I did not turn out to be a successful online poker player. But that did not keep me away from the game. I was passionate enough to learn it until I was done. (more…)

poker hands

Posted in poker by Patrick Bruel on the July 19, 2009

In my beginning years, I preferred to be the middle of the poker hands in a multi player table image. Though it is said that the last of the players can be well-informed about the game, I was that anxious player who will tire out in senses before my turn would come. (more…)
